You do not need a …
You do not need a fixative. When you are done, just press a plain sheet of paper on top of the chalk. That will press it into the page. Do not put it in a page protector for 24 hrs and the chalk will be set. If you are not using pictures (example, cardmaking), you can spray the design with hairspray if you like.

What kind of fixative do you use for the chalk don’t fall?

EK Success chalks …
EK Success chalks are listed as acid free so you should be OK. When you finish chalking, take a piece of plain paper and press down over your design. That will press the chalk into the fibers of the paper. Let your layout sit for 24 hrs before you put it in a page protector as the static in the protectors will attempt to pull the chalk off the page but it will be OK after 24 hours. You do not need to do anything else to the page. :)

Hi Cath,

Click the link on the righthand side of the video that says “more info” and there you will find a link to our website.

We specialize in chalks as the effects are unique and eye catching. Plus, the colors blend together nicely.

However, you can use our templates with paint, markers, and even embossing, so they’re quite versatile. Let me know if you have more questions. :)
